I designed the logo for Darby Designs.  I made a triangle, square, and rectangle.  I over lapped them to make it look better.  Then I used her name along the side of it.

I also designed this logo for Darby Designs.  I took and made a replica of the black and white one, then I added color to the inside.  I also over lapped the triangle on the square and circle.  And I used her name just like I did in the black and white one.

This is an example of how people use circles to design their logo.  The circle was placed as the center point of the circle.  And the curved lines made the circle more eye-catching.

This is an example of how people used squares to make a logo.  The squares were added into the desing and then text was placed inside it, making everyone focused on the text because of the squares around it.

1. A logo must be simple

A simple logo design allows for easy recognition and allows the logo to be versatile & memorable.  Good logos feature something unexpected or unique without being overdrawn.

2. A logo must be memorable

Following closely behind the principle of simplicity, is that of memorable  An effective logo design should be memorable and this is achieved by having a simple, yet, appropriate logo.

3. A logo must be timeless

An effective logo should be timeless-that is, it will stand the rest of the time.  Will the logo still be affective 10, 20, 50 years?

4. A logo must be versatile

An effective logo should be able to work across a variety of mediums and applications. For this reason a logo should be designed in vector format, to ensure that it can be scaled to any size.  The logo should work in just one colour too.

5. A logo must be appropriate

How you position the logo should be appropriate for its intended purpose.  For example if you are designing a logo for children’s toy store, it would be appropriate to use a childish font & color scheme.  This would not be so appropriate for a law firm.

Bitmap images are created with a square or rectangular grid of colored squares, which are called pixels.  Bitmap images are termed resolution-dependent.  In bitmap imaging you have to remember that resizing the image to be bigger means that fewer pictures are avaliable per inch.  Vector graphics are created with lines and curves.  They are defined by mathematical objects called vectors.

Graphic Design is a creative process.  It often involves a client, and a designer.  Usually graphic designs include logos, websites, publications, advertisement, and product packaging.  Composition is one of the most important features of graphic design.  Composition is important when using materials that already exist or diverse elements.
